Hi Mark!

How do I begin to thank you and Rough Cut for making my wedding the best day of my life?

I hope you have some idea of the volume of FUN that people had sharing the evening with the band. We have had people call us, email us, text us, Facebook us...you name it they are reaching out to tell us how our wedding reception was the most fun they have ever been to. My Grandma is almost (80) years old and she said so herself...hard to argue with knowing how many weddings she has been to.

Everything from the organized set list, learning our new songs, email correspondence and planning, taking time to talk with us during earlier shows that we came to see...it created a life-lasting impression on our entire family and everyone at the reception is now a huge fan of Rough Cut!

We said from the beginning that we were going to invest our wedding budget into a live band- and it was well worth it! Did you know my parents spent weeks around Omaha listening to all the local bands? Paul and I would fly in for the weekend and then we would go and see their favorites- they always had Rough Cut as their number one. We came to one show, I ended up on stage with a cow bell, and the rest is history!

My friend Sam has lots of video footage from the night and I gave him your contact information this weekend. He is traveling and plans to get in touch with you next week. I am sure you could use some of it on your website. I can also put together a CD of photos once I get those in order so you can use those as well. Would you like me to send it to you?

Thanks again for the positive energy and the ability to please a crowd with your performance. If you would have asked me what one thing I wanted for my wedding day (and this answer never changed in the entire two years of planning)...I would have told you that I wanted everyone having fun on the dance floor. Check and done!

My team won the volley ball tournament in Mo.Valley on Saturday. And it got out late so we didn't make it there for the beginning. But we made it for the last half of your show & it was awesome. I've seen a lot of bands like your band and you guys are the best I've seen. The turn out would have been better but we had that bad weather that night. But I know I'll come see you guy's when I can and I hope you guy's come back to Mo.Valley's

Good Morning Mark,  We are very pleased with your performance.  Everyone commented on the band and loved how the lead singer included the kids.  It was so awesome.  Emily, Adam and myself would  be happy to provide a reference if needed.    Did you get the feeling that the crowd enjoyed themselves because I did.  How did it compare to other receptions?

Rough Cut,
Wow, I worked 28 hours in a row with no sleep.  Not bad for an old guy!!!  When a town of our size (3,000) is the host for the start of RAGBRAI it is a huge undertaking.  We had 18 different chairman with several people under each one of them.  They all did a great job.  As the head of the chamber, I did get to choose a couple of committees I wanted to chair.  I picked entertainment, publicity, and co-chaired the website.  As the Entertainment Chairman, there was never any doubt in my mind on the perfect band to pump up a huge RAGBRAI crowd and start them off talking about the great time they had in Missouri Valley's Celebration Area.  I did come up to the top step on the stage a couple of times and could see all those people having a ball.  You guys blew their socks off!!  It's true ROUGH CUT ROCKS!!  It had to be a rush for the band to play for this one.  Tell Jessica she's awesome.  I'm not sure on the numbers for sure but the area was about the size of a football field. I would think a couple thousand people would fit in there with no problem.  Anyway, when I watched that huge crowd having fun that was the only reward I needed for the whole thing. The next morning we were down on the exit route for all the bikers with some fun goodbye ideas we had set up.  It was amazing just to watch them leave and head for Harlan.  I watched them leave starting a 4:30 AM and there was still some heading out after 10:00 AM.  Thanks for the great show.

First time I have been out in a long time.  Told my daughter who was playing, and she said that she LOVES you guys also.  She said that she knows Jess from Ameristar sports bar (she is one of the waitress Jessicia).  She can't wait till you come back again…..

The first time I saw RoughCut, I knew that heaven does have a cover band. I was transfixed as tune after glorious tune issued forth from these Paragons of Tuneage. Gods of the stage. The Eighth Wonder of the Modern World. I am not worthy!!!!
Yet week after week, I count the minutes. And then, just when I am ready to explode with anticipation, the Melodious Epiphany of Roughcut gushes forth to engulf the crowd. And again, I am drawn to the dance floor like a moth to a flame.
